Non-target arthropod testing is routinely conducted as part of an ecological risk assessment for insect-protected genetically engineered crop. Measurement endpoints for these studies frequently include both lethal and sub-lethal endpoints. The statistical power of these endpoints is a key consideration for the design of these studies.
