The Galápagos Islands are arguably the most famous archipelago in evolutionary history. Seen as the poster child of adaptive radiation and island biogeography, the islands have been well-documented and studied across many taxa. Save for Hymenoptera. The Hymenoptera of the Galápagos Islands, particularly the Microhymenoptera, are severely under-studied. Using a collection from 1991, we look to complete an updated survey of the Chalcidoidea and other Microhymenoptera of the Galápagos Islands. In doing so, we are also investigating species distributions across islands, elevation, habitat types, and more.
