The honeybee represents a model eusocial insect species that can give us insight into the genetic architecture of phenotypic plasticity among social insect organization. Here we investigate the expression differences of transcription factors between task allocated worker brains of A. mellifera to explore the genetic elements that could play a role in transition of task and/or nutritional regulation.
