RNA interference (RNAi) has recently regained momentum and is emerging as a promising tool in integrated pest management (IPM) programs, offering selective and environmentally friendly pest control solutions. Historically, the limited efficacy against certain insect pests and the high cost of dsRNA production have hindered the widespread adoption of RNAi-based BioSolutions.
RNAiSSANCE Ag, LLC, (St. Louis, Missouri), has developed a proprietary bacterial fermentation-based manufacturing technology platform for large-scale, cost-effective dsRNA production. Our proprietary technology, combined with trade secret aspects, has achieved impressive dsRNA yields of up to 10+ grams per liter of fermentate. This step change enables significant reduction of the cost of dsRNA to less than $1 per gram at commercial scale. Also, this allows for the exploration of new pest control applications and market segments traditionally considered unsuitable for RNAi-based technologies due to economic factors.
We will showcase the significance of RNAiSSANCE Ag's dsRNA manufacturing technology platform through the lens of our product development efforts on a Colorado Potato Beetle (CPB) RNAi BioSolution. Field data demonstrating the exceptional efficacy of our proprietary dsRNA sequences against CPB will be highlighted along with the benefit cell-encapsulation of dsRNA plays in this context. Additionally, we will present RNAiSSANCE Ag's unique approach to enable commercial adoption and global expansion of RNAi BioSolutions including opportunities for collaboration and strategic relationships.
