Global Field Trial Mondernization Leader / Technology Characterization Leader - Discovery Insecticide Corteva Agriscience Carmel, Indiana
As a student in entomology, most of your educational training is focused on insects. The digital age has started a revolution that requires additional skill sets and learning opportunities. The days of kill and count are not over but how we do these things is evolving. Incorporating digital features into IPM approaches will enable us to more efficiently monitor, deploy control tactics, gather insights, and promote sustainability. Working for a large global agricultural company has provided numerous opportunities to pivot my career into wildly different areas and the ability to explore many unique interests. If you enjoy doing different things, working across scientific disciplines, and making a difference to farmers across the globe, industry is a good fit for you. Neil will share experiences going from Banking, to Urban Entomology, to Agricultural Sciences, and currently digital technologies. He will provide his perspective on how students can be prepared to be competitive in the occupational marketplace.
