When one thinks of an entomologist, they often think of a research entomologist – either in a laboratory or field environment. In non-research fields, an entomologist tends to bring science and process to parts of the industry that need the output of research but don’t necessarily do the research themselves. They’re tasked with making the research and science accessible to the end-users of their field. The name is the same and the value is there, but how the entomologist provides that value can vary significantly.
