The Biological and Economic Analysis Division (BEAD) in the Office of Pesticide Programs is responsible for providing information on pesticide use patterns, alternative pesticides or pest control practices, among other things. BEAD is also responsible for analyses of regulatory impacts and pesticide benefits. This information is used to support the development of risk assessments, risk management decisions, and other regulatory actions. This presentation will describe BEAD’s role within OPP and explain the purpose and methods of conducting a benefit assessment.
