This session will focus on research regarding mosquitoes as organisms, with their own unique histories and life histories outside of the pathogens they transmit. Our understanding of mosquitoes as vectors of pathogens sits on a firm foundation that stems from our knowledge of their taxonomy, systematics, ecology, and natural history.
