This symposium addresses biodiversity work in the Southern Appalachians, with emphasis on the Smokies All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory. We aim to showcase the Smokies' magnificent biodiversity and current research there, and to inspire new science in the region and be a model for long-term biodiversity surveys elsewhere.
