A large-scale mating disruption (MD) study was conducted over the years 2021 and 2022 in three, >3 million cubic feet, warehouses in New Orleans, LA. One warehouse was designated as an untreated control, and two were treated with MD for Plodia interpunctella (Indian meal moth) and Lasioderma serricorne (cigarette beetle) simultaneously. CIDETRAK® CB MESO™ (Trécé Inc, Adair OK) was used for control of cigarette beetle and CIDETRAK® IMM (Trécé Inc, Adair OK) for the control of Indian meal moth (IMM). The other was ULV fogged with IMM MEC® (Trécé Inc, Adair OK). Results showed significantly reduced trap captures of both target insects which was maintained for more than 120 days. This study demonstrates MD for more than one insect is feasible depending on the species, and the importance of MD as a valuable tool for raw commodity warehousing.
