Certain species of Curculio (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) have become significant pests of cultivated nut crops worldwide. As global nut demand and production is increasing globally, the relevance of these insects is increasing. Life cycles and management between many Curculio spp. are similar, yet information on these pests remains overall disjunct and often lacking visual aids. Additionally, for some species, such as Curculio obtusus (Blanchard) in North America, simple tools such as life cycle diagrams have not been created or included in integrated pest management guides or other resources that would be highly useful to growers and make guides more accessible. This infographic illustrates the life cycle of several pests of nut crops grown in the US in the genus Curcuio.
